In class today you will be using VoiceThread. VoiceThread creates an interactive digital storytelling experience for you and your classmates. The better the information the better the fun. VoiceThread is an interesting way to teach others about subjects learned. You have an opportunity today to utilize VoiceThread in your history class. Below is the directions on how to use it.

U.S. History 10th Grade Assignment:



In this assignment, the students will use Voicethread to create a digital storytelling that describes a famous battle of the American Revolution. Once they are given their battle, the students must:

• Write a brief overview in the digital storytelling about the battle (For instance, how many soldiers were involved and killed? Which generals were involved?)
• Give the date of battle
• Inform the reader of the location of the battle
• Discuss the significance of the battle
• Was it an American or British victory?
• On Title of rubric in its description, just create an appropriate Title for your comic and you will receive your 4 points.
• Should have at least 5 relevant pictures/slides.
• Length should be roughly 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Do not do this:  Your assignment is to pick a American Revolution contributor and create 8 slides illustrating his life and how he influenced the American Revolution. He/She can be anyone during that time frame and this does include British captains and officers, etc.

World History 9th Grade: Your assignment is to pick from the variety of individuals that Mr. Smith has to choose from. You will pick a number and Mr. Smith will assign your VoiceThread. Once you have your individual please find at least five to eight pictures and discuss a little about their lives. You may use portraits and sculptures as there is not pictures of ancient leaders, rulers, and influential individuals during this time. You may even be given an event. Please handle as you would the individual. Please see me for any details you will have.
